A ski-touring weekend based at the Franz Senn Hut in the Stubai Valley promises unforgettable summit experiences. The area surrounding the hut offers a wide variety of tours for different abilities and ambitions. It is especially rewarding for ski mountaineers looking for more technical objectives that include climbing to the summit. The Innere Sommerwand, for example, is a perfect example of a moderately difficult ski tour with enjoyable climbing along the summit ridge. The Franz Senn Hut is also an ideal base for climbing the Ruderhofspitze, one of the most distinctive ski-touring peaks in the Stubai Alps.

For ski tours based at the Franz Senn Hut, you should already have some experience from beginner-level ski tours and be able to ski confidently off-piste.
The area surrounding the hut offers numerous exciting summit ridges. Experience using crampons is helpful for you or members of your group if we plan to climb these peaks.

Tour Programme
The first day is reserved for travelling to the area and approaching the hut. Depending on the conditions, we meet in Schönberg and drive to the Seduck car park. From there, the ascent to the hut takes approximately three hours. Over dinner, we plan the following day and choose a suitable tour based on your ability and fitness. My suggestions, arranged by difficulty, include: Easy ski tours: Kreuzspitze (3084 m), ascending across the Knotenspitzferner to the ski depot before an easy scramble to the summit. Intermediate ski tours: Wildes Hinterbergl (3288 m), reached via the Berglasferner and offering magnificent views and enjoyable slopes; and Innere Sommerwand (3122 m), with its excellent summit ridge. Difficult ski tours: Östliche Seespitze (3416 m), ascending across the Kräulferner to a col where we leave our skis and continue to the summit on foot; and Ruderhofspitze (3474 m), a long and demanding but highly rewarding ski tour via the Alpeiner Ferner.

Booking & Cancellation
Please note that a tour becomes binding once it has been confirmed by both parties. In the event of a short-notice cancellation, I reserve the right to charge a percentage of the guiding fee as a cancellation fee. Detailed information can be found in my cancellation policy. As a rule, payment is made by invoice after the tour.
