About this tour
The Sellrain Valley in Tyrol is a true paradise for ski touring enthusiasts. In midwinter, countless tours with fantastic powder descents await, while late winter offers ideal conditions for enjoyable spring snow tours. Thanks to the wide variety of routes at different elevations and on slopes with different aspects, we are sure to find the most suitable objective and the best possible descent based on the weather, snow and avalanche conditions.
This ski touring weekend is aimed at ski tourers with a solid level of fitness for ascents of around 1,000 vertical metres and good skiing ability away from groomed pistes. We meet on both days at the agreed meeting point, usually directly at the starting point of the respective tour.
Participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodation. I particularly recommend the Alpengasthof Praxmar and the Gasthaus Neuwirt in Sellrain.

Itinerary
The meeting Point for the first day will be told to all the people joining the Group.
The area is perfect for day tours. As long approaches from the valley are rarely necessary, most tours begin directly in excellent ski-touring terrain.
Requirements
You should have a solid level of fitness for ascents of around 1,000 vertical metres per day.
Good skiing ability in ungroomed terrain and confidence in a variety of snow conditions are also required.

What happens if I need to cancel my tour?
Please note that a tour becomes binding once both parties have confirmed it. In the event of a cancellation at short notice, I reserve the right to charge a percentage of the guiding fee as a cancellation fee. You can find detailed information in my cancellation policy. Payment is usually made by invoice after the tour.
What happens if the weather does not cooperate?
Together, we will find an alternative in another region or postpone the tour. There are no additional costs for you in this case.
Is rental equipment available?
Yes, I can provide the technical equipment you need, such as a climbing harness, helmet, crampons or avalanche safety equipment. The relevant tour description and equipment lists explain exactly what is required and what you may need to bring yourself. If you are unsure what you need, simply get in touch – I will be happy to advise you.
